The Snow Child Review

The first book that I read for 2016 was The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey. I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed this book, however, I wish that there was more details on a few things, including the ending.
I read this book for a variety of challenges that I'm participating in this year. For the Modern Mrs. Darcy challenge it's 12 novels 12 categories 12 months. This is a book that I've been meaning to read, so I used this book for this challenge.
For my Goodreads challenge, I want to read 40 books this year. I now have 39 books left to read this year. Another Goodreads challenge is 10,000 pages this year read. I now have 9,614 pages left this year.
I'm also participating in Shelf Love Challenge. I signed up for 11-20 books, and I'd like to read 20 of my books this year, so 19 left.
I'm sorry that this review is so late. I read and finished this book at the beginning of January, but I've been very busy having a baby. And there were a lot of other family things going on, but I want to really start reading and blogging more, as much as I can. I want to share my love of reading with others. And discover new books and authors and bookworms also.
Here's to a new year filled with many new and exciting goals and challenges and experiences.

2016 Ebook Reading Challenge

I have signed up with Annette's Book Spot 2016 Ebook Reading Challenge. I signed up for level 2 which is Bytes. That means that I have committed to read 10 ebooks in 2016. I'm sure that I'll read more than 10, but this is my first year keeping track of what I'm reading and also blogging and doing reading and blogging challenges. So I don't want to overwhelm myself. I am looking forward to all of these challenges I've signed up for, and learning a lot of different things this year in regards to reading and blogging.

Goals for February

January 2016 did not go as smooth as I wanted it to go. I had a lot of things that I wanted to do this month that I wasn't able to do for various reasons. I'm hoping that February goes a lot better, even though I'll be having our son this month. I'm excited to meet our son.
So far, I'm on track with some of the challenges that I've signed up for already this year. However, I want to sign up for a few more and be diligent about doing them in February and the rest of this year. If anyone has any ideas of reading or blogging challenges that I should sign up for please let me know.
Thank you

Net Galley

Alyssa D, Reviewer

Haven by A.R. Ivanovich is the first book that I have read and reviewed on Net Galley. I enjoyed reading this book. It was a little darker than I thought it would be, but it was still good. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
I would recommend this book to others.

Reading Challenge

I have committed to read 11-20 of my own books that I already own this year. I have so many books that I haven't read yet. I want to do better this year with not buying as many books and reading a lot of the books that I already own. I'm not putting any specific bans on book buying, just that I don't want to buy as many and read what I have.

ShelfLove-Challenge

I'm participating in the Shelf Love Challenge. I've signed up for 11-20 books to read that I already have.

First Review

This is my first review of a book. The book was Atlantia by Ally Condie. I gave this book 3 out of 5 stars. It was a good book, but not the best. I say that because I wish that the book had more detail and history on the 2 people, the people Above and the people Below. In short, I would probably recommend this book to a friend, but I would also tell them that it wasn't my favorite book.
